How the MDSA works
MDSA oral appliance consists of two trays custom made from your dental impressions, which fit over the upper and lower teeth. A hook mechanism attached to the upper tray attaches with a shelf in the tower tray and allows the jaw to be positioned forward, preventing the soft tissue of the throat and tongue from collapsing into the airway. Since snoring occurs when air is forced through narrowed or nearly closed breathing passages, positioning the jaw forward will enable you to breathe easily and to stop snoring.
